ACCJ Event
TPP Broker - Wendy Cutler, ACCJ Person of the Year
During her nearly three decades with the Office of the United States Trade Representative, Ms. Cutler played a pivotal role in overcoming trade barriers and was integral to advancing the U.S.-Japan trade agenda. Additionally, she developed the U.S. trade agenda in the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum and served as the lead negotiator for the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement.
The close U.S.-Japan partnership that Ms. Cutler cultivated ultimately paved the way for the successful conclusion of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations last October. In addition to her accomplishments in trade, Ms. Cutler is an inspirational role model and passionate mentor, championing gender equality in the private and public sectors.
Ms. Cutler's tireless efforts exemplify the ACCJ's mission of creating a better business environment in Japan.
